All Voices Matter: Help spread the word about the proposed hospital closures

campaign-phto-save-the-nhsThere are various days of action happening across Devon in support of the NHS, the Junior Doctors, and the public who need or may in the future need the services they provide.

Save Ashburton & Buckfastleigh Community Hospital

38 Degrees Teignbridge are organising a day of action on Saturday 17th September from 10am in Ashburton to speak with members of the public about concerns for the integrity of the NHS.

You do not need to be a health worker or even know much about the workings or internal structure of the NHS. All you need is concern for the NHS and to share with other people who are also concerned.

Leaflets and petition forms will all be provided and it will be chance for you to come and learn more. The more the merrier. Please view the event here for more details and to register your interest.

The Peoples’ red line NHS

Organised by Momentum, this day of action will be held on Monday 19th September in Exeter. It will be a meeting of solidarity to show support for NHS services, hospitals, GP’s and other Clinics. All you need to do is wear red, and come to chat with other like minded people.

By far the hardest thing in taking action is finding the courage to do so.  Simply being brave enough to stand with others can make the world of difference to yourself and to others who also are afraid to let others see what they believe in.

Contrary to popular belief, every person who stands up for what they believe in does make a difference.

Each person is one more person than before. Where one person alone struggles to be heard, many people saying the same thing in unison become very loud.  Having the courage to join others and inviting others to join as well brings weight to a campaign and make all the difference in the world.

If you want to do something but are unable to make either of these days then do contact the following list of organisations in Devon actively campaigning to save the NHS:
